This is a new computer I put together just over a month ago, with a Gigabyte motherboard and fresh Windows 10 install. I have an RGB build that I was using Aura to sync everything but after reinstalling Windows Aura stopped working and I get a crash error popup 30 seconds after clicking on the icon. After deleting the AuraLayerManager.dll file today I was able to finish the Tutorial and the game did not crash after the Green Hell splash screen, and I was able to continue with Story Mode. G'day people, I have been experiencing this issue for the last 6 months. (gone too fast to see the error codes.) I tried 3 times, and it crashed the same way every time. If you still have issues with Aura Sync Crashing on Windows 10 version 1909 after this process, you can try. Just after the splash screen the game would crash with the little "Unity" pop up window. Now Restart your computer and reinstall Aura Sync. At the end of the tutorial I got to the sequence of cut scenes which ends with the Green Hell splash screen. I started a new Story Mode game and played through the tutorial. If the issue remains, download Armoury Crate Installer and reinstall the software. My old Survival Mode save worked fine, but I had a problem with Story Mode. Quick Navigation show How to Fix Armoury Crate Not Working To fix Armoury Crate is not working, restart your computer. Here I saw it bring down Outlook 2003, AIDA64 and WorkShelf all in one go.Īlthough it seems that crashes only happen when the GPU Tweak II *monitor* is running, the best solution is to get rid of Asus GPU Tweak II altogether and use something a lot better and far more stable like MSI Afterburner.Īsus - yet another company with great hardware but crappy software (don't even get me started talking about Asus Aura Sync). We noticed that some of you found a workaround for the crash occuring after recent Green Hell update by deleting the AuraLayerManager.dll file.Įven if you delete AuraLayerManager.dll file, it will be downloaded again every time game is updated. although it *looks* like it's the application's fault, the REAL culprit is GPU Tweak II. In this state the application will keep crashing even after restarting it.īecause the DLL has been inserted into the process of every running 32 bit application, when it crashes it brings down the HOST application with it, i.e. Under certain conditions (which I haven't figured out what they are yet and probably never will because I have already replaced that piece of trash with MSI Afterburner) the DLL decides to go haywire for a while. If you are running Asus GPU Tweak II and your Winstep application (or other 32 bit applications) suddenly crashes without warning - and keeps crashing with various errors even after restarting it - then the cause is most likely the OSD/monitor feature of GPU Tweak II.Īsus GPU Tweak II inserts the GTII-OSD.dll into the process space of every running 32 bit application and this DLL seems to be extremely buggy.
